PMNM: Ghost’s Power, as in Kelly Pavlik

Boxing had its power-punching Ghost long before POWER took hold of the zeitgeist of urban television. Almost 10 years ago, Youngstown, Ohio's Kelly Pavlik survived a fierce second round flurry from Jermain Taylor, that sent him to the canvas, to slug it out nearly another five rounds before a punishing pair of uppercuts led to Taylor literally looking like a toppled building after settling on the canvas in a corner. Pavlik walked away with the WBC and WBO world middleweight titles, as well as the Ring Magazine title.

I caught up with the former champ after Mikey Garcia's post-fight presser at Barclays Center last Saturday night and we chopped it up about Jermain Taylor, the evening's action, and dug into the Adrien Broner-Mikey Garcia main event.
